SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to your community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The support level produced for intervention experiences a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the servicing of all clients and maximize use SRD of Social Assistance SRD providers,” the agency said.
